OABO Award Of Merit criteria

The OABO Award of Merit is presented annually to members in recognition of their contribution to a Local Board. The OABO Executive reviews the nominations and awards nominees based on the following criteria:

      Nomination Criteria

1. Good floor official by local standards

2. Significant length of service, at the local level.

3. Varied forms of service, at the local level.

4. Has taken on an administrative roll, at the local level

Nomination Process

1. Local Boards may nominate one member in any calendar year

2. Written submissions should be forwarded to the OABO Secretary-Treasurer and received no later then August 1^st.

3. Nominations should outline the nominees officiating career and make specific reference to those items listed under the nomination criteria.

4. Nominations should be no longer then 2 typed pages

 Selection

 Selection will be made by the OABO Executive following a review of those written nominations received by the deadline

Announcement and Presentation

Recipients of the award will be honoured at the annual Wall of Fame Luncheon on the Saturday and reannounced at the OABO AGM on the Sunday.  We also ask that the Local Board present the award to the individual at their next Local Board meeting following the OABO AGM.
