OABO Camp Scholarships

This year OABO is offering a number of camp scholarships. These are available to individuals applying to BDP. Each scholarship will cover the cost of registration. Scholarships are open to any official. Preference will be given to officials who have not previously attended an OABO summer camp. Official can apply for one or both scholarship 

OABO Scholarship:

Interested applicants should forward a brief officiating resume, including future goals. Applicants should also include a letter of support from their local board. Applicants must forward all requested documentation. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of your application. Deadline for submission is March 31, 2008.
 

Baby Zebra Camp Scholarship:
I am please to announce that due to the generosity of former OABO president, Jaime McCaig there is a new camp scholarship available to any OABO member attending either an BDP Camp this summer. This scholarship will be know as the “The Baby Zebra Scholarship”.

Following is the criteria:
1. A Member in Good Standing with the Local Board.
2. Displays constants improvement in officiating skills throughout the season.
3. Contributes to their Local Board in ways of volunteering at various events organized by the Board, both on and off the floor.
4. Displays a keen attitude, excellent availability, professionalism and punctuality in representing their Board in the basketball community.

Anyone interested in applying for this scholarship should forward their officiating resume and must include a letter of reference from their local board that speaks to the criteria listed above.

As with the other OABO scholarships applications should be forwarded to Bruce Covert by March 31, 2008.
